Autumn arrangements

afternoooon!

As right now is the absalute PEAK in my terms work and teachers have decided to overload 9 new assignments on us as of last week, I have been unable to share stories and adventures with you. Apoligetically I will write a 'thoughts and meanings' novel for you later to fill you in on the happens of my life right now but in the meantime enjoy these outfit ideas that I whipped up that could support cold weather overseas or for those bad winter days in Australia.

SPARKLE & SHAG

On some of those mildly chilly days you could easily slip on your cutest LBD (little black dress) and pair it with a fur (faux ofcourse) coat. This look could be spiced up with some colour in the coat that could pull the rest of your accessories together. The sparkle is essential to accentuate the outgoing in the look, and you could never forget the miu miu sunnies. Jump into some heeled black boots and a felt hat and your set to dine the hell out of that lunch date.

BUTTONED IN
For a warmer day this look all inspired the ACNE [brand] is simple and easily replicated. Keep the colours dark and tonal without large pops of colour. One to zero accessories needed for this look other than the essential sunnies. Balance the monotone colours with a fun hairstyle or even playful socks. Leather shorts will always edge up a button up, no matter what. Pair with funk shoes like these black leather zip up limited ACNE pumps and the day is yours.

DOUBLE D'S
Bring it back to double denims and simplistic white T-shirts. Let 'Clueless' inspire you for fun accessories and make your creativity wonder. I've paired these boyfriends and oversized denim jacket with a transparent backpack, leather purse, and some john lennons (sunnies). You could over the top it or leave it as the simple double D's but this look is sure to differentiate you from the croud of grey hoodies this A/W.
 MINIMALISTIC 90s
Dress it up or dress it down, whatever you do you MUST have these minimalist essentials in your AW wadrobe in 2015. Pair a cropped, sleevless turtleneck with faded wash boyfriends. Bring out the black by adding  half-heeled kicks, a black slouch purse and an oversized coat. Accessories for this look could be as simple as a black felt hat and a chained necklace, the bolder the better.

Valentine's Day ESSENTIALS

hello hello,

To start off with I am SO sorry for lack of posting lately but I pinky promise that more entries will be up more often so stay posted!

This is just a quick entry for all those people who will be spending valentines day in there rooms wrapped in blankets waching movies all night and eating unending treats, let me tell you that you're not alone. Here lies just a few ideas to keep your mind off love on the evening of it and keep your tummies' wanting more...

enjoy.

1. You can't have a valentines day without goodies stacked to the ceiling so here is my collection for my relaxation festivities.

2. You always need a comfy and cozy spot that makes it feel like home so gather all your pillows, your cushions and your douvets, burn your favourite candle and get comfy because it's going to be a long night of movie watching!

3. To accompany your comfort, grab a selection of the cheesiest rom-coms', dramas and comedies to watch and love while stuffing your face with guilty pleasures.
My movie selection consisted of
a) The Vow
b) Valentines Day (obviously)
c) How to lose a guy in 10 days
d) 10 things I hate about you
e) 50 first dates
and it couldn't be valentines day without watching a little
Never been kissed

These are just a few suggestions to spice up or tone down your valentines evening. Today I actually got up to a lot more than chilling at home and went out for an adventure with a few of my friends BUT i will make another entry on that so for now please enjoy this one!

5 for 15'

It's seem pretty common that this time of year peoples heads will be overwhelmed with resolutions for the new year. Unrealistic fictions that have no chance of being completed, yet (in that persons head) aspire to make this year better than the last. While trying to avoid and contrast to the typical standards of goals and resolutions of the new year, I have decided to circum the pressure and write my own. (hopefully I will stick to them this year)
Here is 5 goals and resolutions for 2015...

1. Dont cement your judgements or opinions about a person. I know that I hate when grudges are formed and held against people for long periods of time, allowing neither person to overcome the situation and move past it, dwelling on an unsettling matter. This cannot be good for either person and makes for unhappiness.

2. Say yes more often. This could mean saying yes to new foods, places, and even people. Being open for new experiances allows room for improvement and expanding your comfort zone.

3. Try not to fixate on other peoples irrelevant opinions of you. Thinking about why someone may not like you (if you dont already know) is tiring and stressful and will block your head with negative thoughts and leaves you in a crappy mood.

4. Dont change myself for other people. Simple as that.

5. Try to limit my expectations to incoporate the element of suprise and fullfillment. You will find yourself happier if you lie low expectations that can be reached and leave you with a more satisfied feeling

Unexpected Adventures

"The best things happen unexpectedly"

hey hey,
Today on this rather miserable (weather wise) day, you would think that all you could do is sit at home in a big jumper and watch movies...well I certainly would think so buuut instead I got off my butt and met up with some of my gorgeous friends. We caught a bus to the beach where we walked and talked along the streets until reaching our cafe/restaurant (which we were super keen to eat at) only to find that it was in fact CLOSED. Believe it or not I'm kind of glad that the restaurant was closed because otherwise we would not have stumbled across a cute little juicery and a delicious mexican restaurant, where we ended up having lunch at and having a fabulous time.
I love unexpected days.

 + P.S
first time my hair has been straight all holidays wooo!

IN THE NAVY

I can't believe I actually survived this 34 degree day...
I hope you all had a great hump-day today as mine was taken over by living in the pool or otherwise melting. Isn't it crazy how the weather can change so rapidly, two days ago it was a sleepy/movie day (raining) and now its a beating hot 34 degrees! Oh australia...

This (whole) outfit was bought in a very recent trip to Hawaii (although all the shops can be found online or in Australia), and include some of my favourite staple summer items. This look is a really simple go-to oufit in summer and one of my favourites.
feel free to comment &
enjoy!

Welcome!

Hi everyone!
Sorry that this entry is late but just to start off i'm going to tell you a bit about myself!
My name is Cat (short for Catherine) and I am 14 years. I have 2 older sisters, a kitten, and a puppy (although she is in fact a dog, puppy is just more endearing). My favourite colours (right now) is pale blue and peach although I wear black and white more often than those colours (I just find them cute). My favourite subject is English. I love to write short stories or anything creative. My favourite food or cuisine, without a doubt, is thai and my drink is anything that can warm my insides (preferably chai latte/tea). My favourite movie is 10 things i hate about you, closely followed by Mrs doubt fire and Edward scissor-hands and my TV shows would be Friends, and How I met your mother.

My style of clothes doesn't stick to one guideline all the time but you can still the resemblance of what I like to wear. My favourite bands/singers/actors/people right now are Beyonce, the paper kites, vampire weekend, two door cinema club, emma stone, john green, my kitten (not in the categories above but he's adorable) and the list could go on for ever.
I love dressing up, anything fluff
y, comfy pants, pretty shoes, decorating my room, magazines, free food, black and white clothing, funny people and sleep.

Thats all for now but I hope you enjoy my blog!

Button ups & hot drinks

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend as mine has been taken over by planes, travelling home and the always dreaded unpacking but very soon I will have some exciting holiday photos up! Rain has been pouring all day and there is nothing more to do than watch movies, drink tea and wear oversized jumpers (a guilty favourite of mine). I threw this collection of clothes together before I went to the shops to get breakfast and enjoy the rain a little more.

Allssoo WELCOME! this is my first blog entry and I'm still getting in the gist of what this baby's going to be about ...
